Jotform vs Typeform pricing at a glance
The modeled prices are annual-plan monthly equivalents checked on September 2, 2026. The calculator rejects a plan when one of the selected limits is too low; a cheaper but ineligible plan is not shown as a saving.
| Requirement | Jotform starting point | Typeform starting point |
|---|---|---|
| Free use | Starter: 5 forms and 100 monthly submissions | Free: 10 monthly responses |
| Remove vendor branding | Bronze: $34/mo annual equivalent | Plus: $56/mo annual equivalent |
| About 1,000 responses | Bronze: 1,000 submissions and 25 forms | Plus: 1,000 responses and 3 users |
| About 10,000 responses | Gold: $99/mo annual equivalent | Business: $91/mo annual equivalent |
| HIPAA or multiple Jotform users | Gold can enable HIPAA; multiple users require Enterprise | Enterprise quote required for the HIPAA condition modeled here |
Plan fit comes before the price comparison
Jotform and Typeform meter different combinations of responses, forms, users, and features. This calculator selects the first public plan that meets only the modeled limits. A vendor quote is not replaced with a guessed number.
When Jotform is the lower public-price fit
In the modeled dimensions, Jotform can become the lower public-price fit when you need more than 100 submissions, many active forms, or branding removal with one account user. That is a price-and-limit result only; it does not prove higher completion rates, better usability, or a better integration for your workflow.
When Typeform can fit better
Typeform Plus and Business include public multi-user allowances in this model. If several people need access and Jotform Enterprise would be required, the public Jotform price is no longer comparable because it needs a quote. Use the calculator result as a shortlist, then test the actual form experience and required integrations.
Is a paid form builder worth it?
A paid form workflow can be rational even when a free form exists, but only if it removes enough handling or error cost. The “labor-funded tool ceiling” is the amount of entered manual labor that the selected automatable percentage could remove. It is not guaranteed savings.
For 800 monthly responses, three minutes of handling each, a $30 loaded hourly cost, and 60% automatable handling, the entered labor ceiling is $720 per month. This does not mean a form builder will remove 60%; measure the current process and run a bounded pilot.
Questions to answer before choosing
- How many completed responses do you actually receive in a peak month?
- How many people require their own access?
- Do you need HIPAA, payments, signatures, custom domains, or an integration not modeled here?
- Which manual step will disappear, and how will you measure it?
- What happens to responses and files if a plan limit is reached?
Important exclusions
Storage, form views, fields, payments, signed-document limits, custom domains, integrations, AI usage, tax, regional pricing, overages, temporary discounts, security controls beyond HIPAA, and completion-rate differences are not ranked.
